To improve the financial lives of our members and their families in Southeastern Michigan through providing financial services delivered with value, convenience, and respect.

How do we accomplish this mission?

Low fees. Most of our fees are “abuse” type fees (i.e., NSF fees, excess ATM use fees), not “use” type fees. By simply making use of the credit union’s services, it is very easy to avoid all fees.

Competitive savings rates. We constantly survey rates at other financial institutions. We consistently exceed the rates paid at most local banks.

Low loan rates. We constantly survey loan rates at other financial institutions. Our rates are consistently among the lowest in the Detroit area.

Member discounts. We have secured discounts for our members on numerous products and services, such as automobile purchases, theme park tickets, and insurance.

Access. We have provided multiple means of access to your funds and information about the credit union: Main office, Express Teller (24-hour automated telephone home banking), call center (assisted telephone banking during normal business hours), mail teller, Service Centers (20+ shared branch locations), ATM’s (Fort Street, Bulk Mail Center, Co-Op Network ATM´s--one of the largest no-surcharge networks in the world), credit cards, lines of credit, home equity lines of credit.

Reputable vendors. We seek to do business with other reputable companies that we believe will treat our members well. When seeking vendors, we do not simply choose the lowest cost provider or the provider who will provide the most income to the credit union.

Respect. We will always look for a way to meet your request. If we cannot meet your request because of security, regulatory, or policy issues, we will answer you with respect and seek a way to still accomplish your request.
